Accounts Receivable Officer

About the Role:

Working in a family‑run business with the scale and sophistication of a corporate entity, this Accounts Receivable role puts you in charge of end‑to‑end, high‑volume AR across multiple entities using a large cloud‑based ERP.

Reporting to the Head of Finance at our Brisbane Airport head office and supporting a wider finance team, you’ll enjoy flexible options: full-time OR part‑time across three days/ school‑hours across five days

If you’re an AR pro with big‑system experience and a forensic eye for detail, this is your next move.

Responsibilities:

  • High-volume invoicing, receipting and statement generation using SAP S/4HANA (ERP)
  • Banking duties including reconciling bank accounts across multiple entities
  • Regular customer account allocations and reconciliations including instances where customers have paid upfront, either by deposit or in full   
  • Supporting the assessment of credit applications
  • Managing credit risk while maintaining strong customer relationships through debtor follow-up and communication
  • Monitoring the Accounts inbox and actively resolving and responding to customer account queries
  • Month-end accounts procedures and regular reporting as required

About You:

You’ll hold a minimum 3 years’ experience working in an Accounts Receivable function together with –

  • Experience working with a large ERP system is mandatory, e.g. SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sage Intacct (SAP S/4HANA desirable).
  • Sound knowledge and proficiency of accounts receivable processes, principles, and practices. Experience working in both high-volume transaction environments and multi-entity accounts processing.
  • The ability to troubleshoot and problem solve account-related discrepancies and resolve customer inquiries together with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strong MS Office proficiency (intermediate level MS Excel required).
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, able to handle debt recovery calls with diplomacy while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Experience in working in a team environment with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
