Kitchen Hand

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable team member to work as a dedicated Kitchen Hand and complete a regular 4:00pm – 8:00pm shift as part of our team in Griffith, New South Wales. This casual role is essential for maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The Kitchen Hand will support the culinary team by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and organisation, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by the chef
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food storage areas
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to ensure hygiene standards are met
• Support the culinary team during service by providing timely assistance
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food safety practices
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a kitchen hand or similar role
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
