Support Worker – Erina (Central Coast) 2256 NSW – Expression of Interest

About the Role: We are currently seeking a reliable, energetic, and proactive Disability Support Worker to join our team supporting a participant based in Erina on the Central Coast.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, staying active, and engaging in community-based activities. You will play a key role in supporting daily routines while maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with morning and afternoon routines
• Provide personal care support
• Support with school bus drop-off and collection
• Facilitate community access and participation
• Encourage involvement in outdoor and active activities
• Provide active supervision to ensure safety at all times
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Physically active, energetic, and engaging
• Proactive, attentive, and able to take initiative
• Strong awareness and demonstrated application of safety and risk management principles in a support setting.
• Strong awareness of safety and risk management
• Honest, reliable, and professional
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain.
• Relevant qualification or certificate in disability work, aged care, or community services (e.g., Certificate III or IV).
• Understanding of NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) principles and safeguarding protocols.
• Willing to participate in community outings and activities

Shift Availability: Support is required 7 days per week, with a focus on the following:

Weekdays:

• Morning: 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM
• Afternoon: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (afternoons currently a priority)

Weekends:

• Morning shifts between 5:00 AM – 10:00/11:00 AM
• Afternoon shifts may also be available
