Description

About the role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spanish-speaking Support Worker for a client in St Clair, NSW. We require a female due to personal care needs and client preference. The ideal candidate will possess strong Spanish communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping others in the social care sector.

Support required:

  • 3 days a week (two 2-hour shifts and one 3-hour shift – 7 hours weekly).
  • Participant requires support with personal care, meal preparation and domestic assistance.
  • Potential to work with other clients if suitable match to others

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including transport/community access, meal preparation, medication management, and personal hygiene.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and their families, ensuring that their needs and preferences are understood and respected.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions/behaviours to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support clients in engaging with community resources and activities to promote social inclusion.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a support worker or in a similar role within the social care sector.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • NDISWC.
  • WWCC (for paid employment).
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence + access to comprehensive insured car.
  • First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain).
