About the team/About the role:

NDOT works across the whole Cancer Council Federation, collaborating with stakeholders from each State and Territory (S/T) Cancer Council to deliver national fundraising, partnerships and marketing initiatives.

This is a newly created role and will form part of the NDOT leadership team. The Project Lead will provide hands‑on leadership, coordination, and operational oversight of national campaigns, committees, and operational processes.

 

Key responsibilities of the role: 

  • People management of the Senior Project Coordinator, Project Coordinators, and Project Administrator
  • Provide strategic management and operational support for national committees
  • Build strong relationships with S/T representatives, senior national stakeholders and national suppliers
  • Lead project management for NDOT using best-practice frameworks and tools, including developing and embedding an NDOT project management framework
  • Oversee delivery standards across all national campaigns and provide guidance on campaign planning, budget management, reporting, supplier engagement, and contract processes
  • Drive efficiencies technology and emerging tools, with a strong focus on AI opportunities

 

About you: 

Essential

  • Min. 5 years’ experience in a stakeholder engagement and/or project and operational role
  • Experience with people management, particularly leading an operational/administrative function
  • Experience leading operational teams in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
  • Strong project management skills with experience developing or improving frameworks and processes
  • Strong presentation skills, and negotiating and influencing skills

 

Desirable: 

  • Experience with ASANA
  • Experience with CMS, particularly Funraisin
  • Understanding of Cancer Council Federation and national collaboration
