About us
Cancer Council NSW (CCNSW) is a community funded and focused not for profit. We are the largest cancer charity in NSW and our point of difference is that we work across every area of every cancer, from research right through to support.
At CCNSW we understand that nothing feels better than doing work you really care about. As Australia’s leading organisation supporting all people impacted by all cancers, we understand how good it feels to make a difference. We know that almost 1 in 2 Australians are affected by cancer during their lifetime. By joining the passionate team at CCNSW, you’ll know that each day the work you’re doing will positively impact people in your life and Australia.
About the team/About the role:
The Cancer Information team produces printed, online, podcast and video resources for people with cancer, their families, carers and friends, including the national Understanding Cancer series of booklets and fact sheets, an Easy Read multimodal series, and The Thing About Cancer podcasts.
As part of the Commonwealth-funded Australian Cancer Nursing and Navigation Program (ACNNP), Cancer Council will deliver a national cancer navigation service, expanding our existing cancer information and support service (13 11 20), to include new digital navigation and support offerings. During the implementation phase of the program, Cancer Council will expand the Cancer Information team to enable the provision of new and existing information resources, including tailored resources developed with priority populations and new multimodal content.
This position will work on the development of new podcast and video content to expand the cancer information formats available on the new national cancer navigation service, and may also support the development of audiovisual content for other programs. The role combines hands-on production skills with strong research and writing skills and project and stakeholder management.
