About the team/role
This role sits within the National Delivery and Operations Team (NDOT) and will report to the Manager – NDOT. NDOT works across the whole Cancer Council Federation, collaborating with stakeholders from each State and Territory Cancer Council to deliver national fundraising and marketing campaigns. NDOT is responsible for providing operational, project management, administrative and digital support to national campaigns, contributing to over $30 million for the Cancer Council Federation.
This role is responsible for leading the digital planning and delivery of national fundraising campaign websites (Daffodil Day, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, and The Longest Day, with strategic oversight of Relay for Life).
Please note this role is a Part-Time 0.8 (4 day a week) fixed term contract ending April 2027 and is internally known as Digital Project Lead.

Key responsibilities of the role:
Project Planning & Delivery:
- Liaise with Cancer Council Federation stakeholders and third-party suppliers to scope campaign website requirements and determine complexity and cost.
- Develop, manage and monitor website development timelines and ensure they are incorporated into wider campaign timelines.
- Coordinate with relevant groups to align priorities for campaign tracking implementation, including NDOT Project Coordinators.
- Facilitate and manage regular WIPs and project meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate UX and UAT testing with stakeholders across the Federation.
- Monitor performance of key metrics throughout campaigns and coordinate any mid-campaign optimisation as required.
Stakeholder Management:
- Account Manage relationship with main fundraising platform provider and other digital suppliers.
- Respond to the differing needs of Federation stakeholders (clients) with different levels of sophistication or capacity.
- Communicate complex ideas at all levels and audiences, both technically and non-technically.
Strategy & Leadership
- Line management of 1x Digital Project Coordinator.
- Provide strategic support to NDOT Manager and assist with team leadership as and when required.
- Advise and mentor internal stakeholders about project management, UX, CMS, web analytics and overall website ecosystem strategy.
- Make data and insight-driven decisions to drive website enhancements which support the campaign strategy and KPIs.
About you
Essential:
- 3-5 years’ website project management experience.
- Experience developing fundraising campaign websites
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with advanced analytical skills.
- Experience working with CMS or preferably Funraisin.
- Experience using project management tools and software.
- Experience planning and executing complex website projects.
- Experience working across multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a broader team to deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
Desirable:
- Advanced technical skills.
- Strong understanding and experience with CX and UX.
