If you enjoy leading people, solving complex problems, and still like to stay hands-on with technology, this could be your next step.
The Bridge is a down-to-earth, community-focused not-for-profit supporting people with disability and those who have experienced disadvantage across south-eastern and northern Melbourne. We create real opportunities through employment pathways, NDIS services, and community programs. We’re a purpose-driven organisation where people matter—both the people we support and our team.
We’re looking for an ICT Technical Team Lead to help strengthen and grow our internal ICT function.
You’ll work closely with our IT Manager to support a transition from external providers to an in-house model, while leading and building capability within the team. This role blends technical leadership and hands-on delivery. You’ll guide others, manage more complex issues, and contribute to improving systems and ways of working—while still being comfortable jumping into frontline support when needed.
As the team grows (including an additional support role), you’ll play an important part in shaping how ICT operates at The Bridge. There is also scope over time to step into broader leadership responsibilities, depending on your interests and readiness.
- Support, mentor and guide a small but growing ICT support team
- Own and resolve Level 3 escalations across infrastructure, cloud and end-user environments
- Remain hands-on—supporting frontline issues when needed
- Help transition ICT services from an external provider to internal delivery
- Contribute to system improvements, documentation, and service standards
- Support ICT projects (infrastructure, upgrades, new systems)
- Work closely with the IT Manager on priorities, planning and capability uplift
- Support cyber security practices and compliance initiatives
You might already be leading a team, or stepping into leadership and ready for more responsibility.
- Experience in a senior ICT support or technical role (Level 3 or equivalent)
- Demonstrated leadership experience or strong capability to mentor others
- Comfortable balancing people support with hands-on technical work
- Experience in a similar-sized or complex environment
- A proactive, collaborative approach and willingness to roll up your sleeves
