About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Payroll Processor to join our growing team. You’ll be based out of our Melbourne office, working onsite with the flexibility of a hybrid model. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of NFP clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery every pay cycle.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll for multiple clients across varying pay frequencies
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and relevant legislation
  • Managing payroll variations including terminations, leave, allowances, and superannuation
  • Reconciling payroll reports and assisting with month-end and year-end processes
  • Responding to payroll queries from clients and their employees with professionalism
  • Identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies in a timely manner

About You

You’re a confident, experienced payroll professional who takes pride in accuracy and thrives on getting it right the first time. You’re comfortable managing competing deadlines, communicating with clients, and navigating the nuances of complex payroll environments.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing, ideally in a multi-client environment
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation, Modern Awards, and superannuation requirements
  • Experience with payroll software (experience with KeyPay, Xero Payroll, or similar highly regarded)
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships with confidence
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work autonomously when required
