Housekeeper – Village

  • Position based in Wadeye NT
  • $60-$65k + super
  • 6 Weeks Annual Leave + 17.5% leave loading

More than a housekeeping role—mentor Indigenous staff, support community, and make a lasting impact in remote NT.

The Village Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming accommodation environment in a remote Indigenous community village. The accommodation site includes approximately 80 single donga-style rooms used for both staff accommodation and guest rooms, as well as shared facilities including gym, laundry and guest kitchen. Working alongside a small team of local Indigenous housekeepers, the Village Housekeeper will help ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained across all accommodation and communal areas.

About You:

  • Previous experience in similar housekeeping or cleaning roles
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with ability to train and mentor culturally diverse staff

Desirable:

  • Chemical handling/storage certificate
  • Cleaning / House Keeping certificate/s
  • Experience working within indigenous communities

Essential Licences / Clearances

  • National Police check (with assistance)
  • NT Driver’s licence
  • NLC Work & Residential permits (with assistance)
