Position based in Wadeye NT

We are seeking a motivated and service-driven Employment Consultant to join our RAES team. In this role, you’ll work directly with RAES participants to help them overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with participants to assess strengths, challenges, and barriers to employment.
  • Develop and implement Individual Employment Pathways (IEPs) tailored to each participant’s circumstances.
  • Support participants with practical needs such as identification, banking, transport, and compliance.
  • Connect participants to training, skills development, and suitable job opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing post-placement support to help participants maintain employment and adjust to workplace expectations.
  • Engage with employers, training providers, and community organisations to advocate for participant success.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and reporting in line with RAES program standards.
  • Deliver services in a culturally safe and respectful way, supporting Indigenous communities and people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying service gaps and recommending practical solutions.

About you:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in Employment Services, Community Services, Social Work, or related field – with demonstrated experience in case management
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or in remote/regional areas.
  • Knowledge of the RAES program and employment services frameworks desirable.

Essential Licences / Clearances

  • National Police check
  • Current NT Ochre Card (working with children check)
  • NLC Work / Residential permits (with assistance)
  • Current NT driver’s licence
