The Opportunity:

As our Retail Operations Manager, you’ll sit at the heart of our Merchandise team, owning the day-to-day execution of retail operations across venues, events and store environments. You’ll make sure our retail programs run smoothly, stock is in the right place at the right time, and every touchpoint delivers a great experience for fans and partners while meeting commercial objectives.

You’ll be the key link between buying plans and what fans see on the shop floor – turning product strategies into operational reality and helping deliver consistent, high-quality retail experiences across all locations.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the daily execution of retail operations across store, venue and event environments, delivering to agreed standards, timelines and commercial targets.
  • Coordinating stock movement and allocation across locations, events and storage facilities to support trading requirements and maximise sales.
  • Owning stock control processes, including tracking, reconciliation, reporting and escalating risks or discrepancies when they arise.
  • Supporting operational planning and retail readiness for key trading periods and activations through run sheets, checklists and execution plans.
  • Partnering with the Buying team to align stock availability with planned retail activity and assisting with forecasting based on trading patterns.
  • Coordinating and supporting casual and event-based retail staff, providing clear direction, briefings and on-the-day leadership to ensure smooth execution.
  • Collaborating with Retail, Logistics, Supply Chain and wider internal teams to ensure timely product availability and alignment across all retail activity.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience managing and coordinating retail operations across multiple sites or environments. Eg) events, venues or fast-paced retail is ideal.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, stock movement and inventory control, including allocation, tracking and reconciliation.
  • Highly organised and detail-focused, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver consistently at pace.
  • Hands-on and proactive operator who is calm under pressure, solutions-focused and comfortable working through busy trading periods.
  • Confident working with retail systems, POS platforms, inventory management tools and Excel or similar reporting tools.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to provide clear direction to on-site teams and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Retail or Operations (or equivalent experience); B2B retail experience and exposure to the sporting industry or sports landscape in Australia will be highly regarded.
