These roles are particularly well suited to people already living on Kangaroo Island, however we welcome applications from all suitably qualified applicants.
LODGE HOST – About the role
We are looking for organised Lodge Hosts who are passionate about preparing and cooking delicious local food and delivering exceptional hospitality.
This varied role involves hosting and cooking for up to 14 guests at a time, along with supporting operations, cleaning, and maintenance of the cottages.
Typical rotations include:
- 4 days on / 2 days off
- 7 days on / 5 days off
Accommodation is provided during shifts (shared room within a cottage).
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals for guests
- Deliver outstanding hospitality and guest service
- Support lodge operations including turnovers, cleaning, hygiene and maintenance
- Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Work autonomously in a remote location
- Skills & experience (ideal)
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety
- Cooking/catering experience with strong food safety practices

- Remote First Aid (HLTAID013)
- Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
- RSA (SITHFAB021)
- Hygienic Practices for Food Safety (SITXFSA005)
- Safe Food Handling Practices (SITXFSA006)
Desirable Certifications

- Commercial Passenger Vehicle Accreditation
BUSHWALKUNG GUIDE – About the role
TWC Guides provide an outstanding experience that guests will remember for a lifetime. Guides ensure guest safety while sharing meaningful interpretation of the landscape, flora, fauna and history.
Key responsibilities
- Lead walking experiences and ensure guest wellbeing
- Identify hazards and apply safety procedures
- Ensure guests are prepared and equipped
- Share engaging stories and interpretation about the walk and location
- Maintain cleanliness standards across lodge/huts/camps
- Complete trip reports, hazard ID and incident reporting when required
Skills & experience (ideal)
- Relevant bushwalking guide experience
- Strong knowledge of local environments and National Parks
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills
- Hospitality experience (cooking, preparation, service)
Required certifications
- Wilderness First Aid (SISSS00126)
- Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
- RSA (SITHFAB021)
- Hygiene practices for food safety (SITXFSA005)
- Light Rigid Licence
- Commercial Passenger Vehicle Accreditation or Mutual Recognition Certificate
