Description

Tank Vision (TV) is based in Sydney and delivers projects across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Island. With 15 years of experience, we deliver high-quality design, manufacturing, and installation services for projects across sectors including Data Centres, Hospitals, Infrastructure and high-rise buildings. Known for our strong client relationships, and commitment to excellence, Tank Vision is looking to further develop our Data Centre pipeline. We are looking for a person with proven Business Development skills, who can work with the General Manager and Managing Director to help build our presence in this fast-moving sector.

About the role

You’ll own the growth of Tank Vision’s data centre pipeline—identifying opportunities early, engaging with stakeholders, including Service Consultants, and shaping water storage solutions by translating technical requirements with support from engineering and estimating.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive business growth in the data centre industry (new business + key account development)
  • Conduct market analysis, pipeline tracking, and forecasting to inform strategy and targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with construction industry stakeholders (builders, consultants, subcontractors, developers, and key supply chain partners)
  • Work closely with engineers and internal teams to shape solutions aligned to project requirements
  • Partner with the estimating department to develop tailored proposals and project-ready scopes
  • Review and assess project scope to ensure solutions are practical, compliant, and fit for purpose
  • Manage opportunities from lead to close, including meetings, site visits, and handover coordination
  • Maintain CRM activity and reporting to ensure accurate pipeline visibility

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in business development / technical sales within construction, building services, mechanical, HVAC, industrial, or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of how construction projects are specified, estimated, and delivered
  • Technically capable / mechanically minded—comfortable interpreting scope, drawings, and requirements (with support)
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and estimators to build the right solution, not just sell a product
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills—able to influence across multiple decision-makers
  • Commercial confidence: negotiation, forecasting, and opportunity qualification
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to work autonomously

Desirable (nice to have)

  • Exposure to data centres (design, build, services, operations, or supply chain)
  • Experience working with consultants/specifiers and tendering processes
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/specs and translate them into practical project scope
