As we expand our services across Sydney, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Manager – Operations to help drive the next chapter of our organisation’s journey.
At TYS, we support young people aged 12–24 to move beyond homelessness, rebuild connections and create safer, more independent futures.

leadership role, shaping how services are delivered, strengthening workforce capability and ensuring high-quality outcomes for vulnerable young people across our programs.
About the Role
As Executive Manager – Operations, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple program and service streams.
- Coach, support and develop Program Managers to strengthen leadership capability and service consistency.
- Monitor operational performance, workforce matters and service quality to ensure strong governance and outcomes.
- Lead responses to complex operational, workforce and practice issues, including critical incidents and risk matters.
- Contribute to organisational planning, improvement initiatives and executive decision-making.
- Oversee contract performance, compliance, reporting and stakeholder engagement across funded programs.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across community, housing, justice and youth service sectors.
About You
You are a confident, values-led operational leader with significant experience in complex human services environments. You bring:
- Proven senior leadership experience in youth, homelessness, community or broader human services.
- Demonstrated success leading managers an delivering outcomes across multi-site and/or multi-program operations.
- Strong people leadership, operational management and risk oversight capability.
- Sound understanding of trauma-informed, culturally safe and child-safe practice.
- Experience working in funded service environments, including performance reporting, compliance and accountability.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Criminal History Check
- Current NSW Driver Licence
