The Fleet Allocator – Bulk is responsible for the daily scheduling of linehaul jobs
and coordinating fleet movements to ensure deliveries are completed safely,
efficiently, and in full compliance with relevant regulations.
As a key member of the Bulk Haulage Operations team, you will work closely with
drivers, customers, and internal departments to manage freight movements,
support compliance and maintain high service standards.
What you will be doing…
* Allocating haulage jobs to drivers based on availability, freight requirements, and delivery timeframes.
* Managing schedules in real time to respond to delays, disruptions, and last-minute changes.
* Monitoring driver hours to ensure compliance with Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) and fatigue legislation.
* Ensuring freight is loaded and secured in line with load restraint and weight requirements.
* Providing accurate ETAs/ETDs to customers and maintaining agreed service levels.
* Managing Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation and finalising jobs within the system.
* Maintaining regular communication with drivers to monitor progress and provide operational support.
* Coordinating with the workshop to manage vehicle availability and maintenance scheduling.
* Supporting Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance, audit preparation, reporting, and fleet performance reviews.
* Identifying scheduling inefficiencies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Do you have…
Experience in fleet allocation or transport coordination.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Solid knowledge of transport regulations, fatigue management (BFM), and CoR requirements.
The ability to prioritise and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with Dangerous Goods (DG) and oversized or heavy freight (desirable).
Experience using fleet dispatch systems, transport management platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
