Symons Clark Logistics is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead our payroll function. This role ensures employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with legislation, Awards, and organisational requirements. You will manage payroll systems, processes, and reporting while delivering high-quality support to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Oversee payroll applications, ensuring data accuracy, system functionality, and security.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the Payroll Team.
- Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and compliance with legislation, taxation, superannuation, and Awards.
- Coordinate statutory reporting including Single Touch Payroll, payroll tax, and year-end reporting.
- Monitor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes, systems, and controls.
- Communicate organisational changes and ensure stakeholders are informed and supported.
About You:
- Extensive payroll experience, with strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coach and develop staff.
- Strong systems knowledge and a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
