Junior Garment Technician

Full-time Office-based

Capalaba, QLD (Brisbane)

Base salary from $55,000

This is perfect for those who have a TAFE qualification or currently studying a fashion degree. You will process/activate all orders in a time bound framework of 2-5 days, ensuring job tickets, job slips and barcodes are prepared for every order. You will work together with our garment technicians and designers to maintaining the quality standards and create detailed Job Tickets that includes the assembly sequence and production times for each part needing to be manufactured.

About your new role:

  • Ensure all raw materials – Fabrics, Embellishment and Trims are correctly listed on Job Tickets and data loaded into production software
  • Supply the production departments with the correct job slips including lead times, labour details and adjusting sequences and timings as required
  • Report all potential Job Ticket order delays to Factory Manager as they occur
  • Liaising with key members of the design and production team to ensure each step of the critical path is accurate, correct and realistic.
  • Provide pre-production staff with information when print or embellishment artwork need to be created
  • This in an office-based role Mon-Fri, 7:00am start – 3:30pm finish, with early finish on Fridays

About you:

  • Understanding of garment construction process
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Great time management and organisation skills
  • Familiarity of the textile manufacturing and fashion industry
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator is highly regarded but no essential
