Sydney Anglican Property (SAP) is a one-stop shop for property-related matters across the Diocese, ensuring we are able to provide parishes with better, more coordinated services, while retaining an emphasis on innovative projects that help people to meet the real Jesus.
The SAP Parish Property team provides essential support to parishes to assist them in their property related administration through excellent customer service, subject matter expertise and partnership in their mission.
About the role
This role will be responsible for providing administrative and strategic property support services for parishes in the Sydney Diocese, assisting them in managing and developing parish (real and other) property and providing support to Diocesan organisations on property matters.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
1. Qualification in a business or property related discipline (or currently completing)
2. 3+ years of experience in a built environment profession, e.g. urban planning, project management, architecture, engineering, property, administration, insurance
3. Project management skills with demonstrated experience in time management, delegation and delivering within budget.
4. Excellent customer service skills
5. Strong analytical and problem solving ability, dealing with complex issues
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
7. Capacity to work independently and manage multiple priorities across various locations
Desirable
• Understanding of the planning and development process
• Property development management experience
• Understanding of government grants for property purposes
• Experience in parish administration
Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and be an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.
