Swish Swimming is a boutique swim school based in Dempsey Hill, Singapore. Since 2015, we have grown into a well-respected aquatic education brand serving a diverse community of local and expatriate families.
We pride ourselves on high coaching standards, strong team culture, and continuous improvement. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Aquatics Coach (Training & Development) to lead by example in the water and play a key role in developing our coaching team.
The Role
This is a leadership position designed for an experienced swim coach who is passionate not only about teaching children but also about training, mentoring, and elevating other coaches.
You will be responsible for maintaining coaching excellence, supporting curriculum delivery, and leading coach development initiatives while continuing to teach in the water.
Key Responsibilities
- Coaching & Programme Delivery
- Deliver high-quality swimming lessons for babies, toddlers, and young children
- Uphold Swish Swimming’s teaching philosophy, safety standards, and class structure
- Ensure consistent lesson quality across all programmes
Training & Coach Development
- Train, mentor, and onboard new and junior coaches
- Conduct in-water coaching assessments and feedback sessions
- Lead regular coach workshops, refreshers, and skill development sessions
- Support the creation and refinement of training materials and lesson frameworks
Leadership & Team Support
- Act as a role model in professionalism, communication, and class management
- Support supervisors and management in maintaining coaching standards
- Assist with performance reviews and development plans for coaching staff
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-focused team culture
Safety & Operations
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Remain calm and decisive in emergency situations
- Support operational excellence during peak periods and weekends
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Minimum *4–5 years* of swim coaching experience
- Proven experience in *training, mentoring, or leading other coaches
- Strong understanding of early childhood aquatic education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident, calm, and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations
Preferred
- Relevant swim teaching or aquatic certifications
- Experience working with diverse teams and international clients
- Passion for staff development and long-term team growth
