SWC Training is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing team in a full-time permanent role. This position is ideal for a commercially driven professional with strong networks in the healthcare sector across Victoria who is passionate about building B2B partnerships and driving workforce development outcomes.

Our training is primarily delivered on the job, enabling healthcare organisations to upskill their workforce with minimal disruption while maintaining compliance with regulatory and funding requirements.

About the Role

This role is responsible for driving new business growth and strengthening existing partnerships across the hospital and healthcare sector. You will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and delivering tailored workforce training solutions to meet client needs.

Working closely with the General Manager – Growth and internal teams, you will manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation through to client onboarding, ensuring a high-quality and seamless client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, health services, and healthcare organisations
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across traineeships, accredited training, and customised workforce solutions
  • Manage a structured sales pipeline, ensuring consistent lead generation and conversion
  • Prepare and present high-quality proposals, tenders, and partnership agreements
  • Collaborate with operations and training teams to ensure the successful implementation of client programs
  • Maintain a consultative, partnership-based approach focused on long-term client outcomes
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, market trends, and growth opportunities
  • Represent SWC Training at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder forums
  • Support enrolments and client engagement activities as required.

About You

You will have:

  • Minimum four years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management (preferably in healthcare or training)
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key decision-makers in hospitals and healthcare organisations
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong pipeline management and CRM capability (e.g. HubSpot desirable)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to develop tailored workforce solutions
  • Understanding of the VET sector or healthcare training landscape (highly desirable)
  • A collaborative, client-focused approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of Skills First funded training (desirable)
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to regional Victoria as required
