About the role
As the Rostering Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate, efficient, and participant‑focused staff rosters across our services. Your work will directly support continuity of care by ensuring the right team members are matched to the right participants at the right time.
You will manage roster changes, fill staffing gaps, respond to last‑minute adjustments, and work closely with House Managers, Case Workers, and operational teams to ensure all rostering practices meet compliance, award requirements, and organisational standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and adjust rosters that align with participant needs and operational requirements.
- Ensure roster compliance with the SCHADS Award, NDIS requirements, and organisational policies.
- Allocate shifts based on staff availability, qualifications, skills, and participant preferences.
- Respond to staffing changes, cancellations, and emergencies to maintain continuity of care.
- Monitor working hours, overtime, leave balances, and allowances to support workforce wellbeing and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address staffing gaps and service needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation across all rostering systems and communication channels.
- Utilise CRM and rostering software effectively (e.g., ShiftCare).
About you
- Experience in the disability or NDIS sector.
- Demonstrated experience in rostering within a dynamic environment.
- Strong understanding of NDIS support types (SIL, ILO, Community Access, STA/Respite).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Confidence using rostering systems and Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Certificate III/IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
- Understanding of SCHADS Award and NDIS Practice Standards.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Working With Children Check.
