About the Role
As a Commercial Finance Manager you will play a critical role supporting our business during a
period of change across Australia & New Zealand.
Partnering closely with the Leadership Team, you will deliver end-to-end financial management and provide commercial insights to support decision-making across pricing, trade spend, and inventory.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role spanning the full product lifecycle from new product setup through to forecasting, reporting, and performance optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reporting
- Manage forecasting and budgeting processes aligned to trading performance
- Maintain strong financial controls and data integrity
- Prepare Board reporting with clear, commercially relevant insights
Commercial Business Partnering
- Partner with the leadership team to support decision-making and drive performance
- Provide practical support across pricing, trade spend, and inventory decisions
- Identify risks and opportunities and proactively influence outcomes
Product & Trade Spend Management
- Support new product setup, including pricing and margin expectations
- Trac and manage trade spend against budgets and ROI
- Monitor product performance and recommend actions to improve profitability
- Improve visibility and control of promotional and clearance activity
Planning, Forecasting & Inventory
- Collaborate with Sales to review and enhance forecasts
- Translate sales forecasts into full P&L outcomes
- Support inventory planning to balance service levels and working capital
- Identify and manage slow-moving or excess stock risks
Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure strong financial governance and adherence to internal controls
- Maintain consistency and integrity of financial data and assumptions
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, and decision-making
- Support audit and compliance requirements
What You’ll Bring
- ·Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or a related discipline
- CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent)
- 10+ years’ experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role
- Experience in FMCG, consumer goods, or product-based environments (preferred)
- Proven track record in revenue analysis, pricing strategy, and commercial decision support.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex data for business insight.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP/BI systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Power BI).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- ·Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence at all levels.
