Position Summary

The Regional Service Manager provides high-level leadership and oversight to a cluster of Out of Home Care (OOHC) services. The role supervises Therapeutic Care Managers (TCMs) to ensure the delivery of trauma-informed, culturally safe, and therapeutic care.

This position acts as a critical bridge between regional strategy and service delivery, providing senior management support and participating in a secondary on-call roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee OOHC services to ensure alignment with trauma-informed practices, legislation, and organisational policies
  • Supervise, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for Therapeutic Care Managers
  • Oversee rostering and ensure compliance with SCHADS Award requirements
  • Audit client files and documentation to ensure compliance with legislation and standards
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support case planning and service delivery
  • Lead service reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage regional budgets, including staffing and operational costs
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff
  • Support regional growth and establishment of new residential services
  • Participate in a rotating Second On-Call roster, providing after-hours leadership support

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Degree in Social Science or related field (or equivalent experience with relevant Diploma)
  • Significant experience in staff management within residential care or human services
  • Current Blue Card, Yellow Card, First Aid Certificate, and Driver’s Licence
  • National Criminal History Check and Health Declaration

Desirable

  • Experience in program design and service review
  • Understanding of contract management and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and child development
