About the Role
Strive Community Care provides therapeutic home environments for children and young people with histories of complex trauma, abuse and neglect.
We’re seeking a team member who is passionate about supporting young people, has exceptional attention to detail, and brings professionalism to their practice. Facilitation experience, particularly with staff induction and practice coaching will be a strong advantage, and TCI Trainer certification would be the cherry on top.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to embedding company values and expected behaviours.
- Support HSQF and Child Safety licensing compliance through developing and improving systems, policies, procedures, and resources.
- Conduct internal audits across documentation and residential sites.
- Mentor Therapeutic Care Managers, with a focus on practice coaching, professional development and best practice.
- Facilitate group training and supervision (e.g., Case Clinics, tailored practice training).
- Develop Positive Behaviour Support Plans for young people.
- Support staff in therapeutic practice, professional writing, safety planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Participate in weekly management meetings and provide Quality & Compliance insights.
- Assist with the interface of best practice and Client Record Management (CRM) systems for care documentation and high-quality service delivery.
- Other duties as directed by the Quality & Safeguarding Manager.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Cert IV or higher in Youth Work, Social Work, Counselling, or related (completed or currently studying).
- TCI Trainer certification highly regarded – or willingness to obtain and maintain TCI Trainer certification.
- Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, LCS2 Check + current Police Check (within 12 months).
- Unrestricted QLD Driver’s Licence.
- Current First Aid & CPR.
- Experience supporting young people with complex trauma (highly regarded).
- Skills in case planning, behaviour support, and report writing (desirable).
- Cultural knowledge and/or lived experience supporting inclusive and culturally responsive practice.
