Description

Strive Community Care

Strive Community Care provides therapeutic home environments for children and young people with histories of complex trauma, abuse and neglect. Grounded in trauma‑informed practice and our CREATE Model of Care, we exist to empower people to live safer, more connected and meaningful lives.

We are looking for a Digital Media & Events Coordinator to bring our marketing and engagement capability in-house. This is a hands-on, people-centred role for someone who loves storytelling, community connection and creating content with purpose.

About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive Strive’s digital presence and coordinate key internal and external events. Your work will authentically showcase our services, people and impact — building trust with participants, families, sector professionals and future employees.

This role is part-time (2 days per week), with a clear opportunity to increase hours as our brand presence and organisational needs grow.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement and manage Strive’s social media presence across Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram, aligned to our content pillars and CREATE Model of Care
  • Create engaging, human-centred content including stories, short videos, graphics and photography
  • Monitor, schedule and engage across social platforms, fostering a respectful and supportive online community
  • Plan and coordinate internal team culture events and external community and sector events to support recruitment, networking and brand awareness
  • Maintain and update the Strive website, ensuring accuracy, consistency and accessibility (captions, alt-text, inclusive design)
  • Track and report on social media and digital metrics to continually improve performance and impact

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Qualification in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation and event coordination
  • Strong skills in Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn administration and design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience managing website content via a CMS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong storytelling ability

Desirable

  • Experience in the NDIS, disability or community services sector
  • Understanding of trauma‑informed care principles

You’ll bring

  • A genuine interest in people, community and social impact
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities and deadlines
  • Confidence engaging respectfully with clients, families, staff and the wider community
  • An eye for detail, brand consistency and inclusive digital practice
