Strive Community Care provides therapeutic home environments for children and young people with histories of complex trauma, abuse and neglect. Grounded in trauma‑informed practice and our CREATE Model of Care, we exist to empower people to live safer, more connected and meaningful
lives.
We are looking for a Digital Media & Events Coordinator to bring our marketing and engagement capability in-house. This is a hands-on, people-centred role for someone who loves storytelling,
community connection and creating content with purpose.
About the role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will drive Strive’s
digital presence and coordinate key internal and external events. Your work
will authentically showcase our services, people and impact — building trust
with participants, families, sector professionals and future employees.
This role is part-time (2 days per week), with a
clear opportunity to increase hours as our brand presence and organisational
needs grow.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and manage Strive’s social media presence across Facebook, LinkedIn and
Instagram, aligned to our content pillars and CREATE Model of Care
- Create engaging, human-centred content including stories, short videos, graphics
and photography
- Monitor,
schedule and engage across social platforms, fostering a respectful and
supportive online community
- Plan
and coordinate internal team culture events and external
community and sector events to support recruitment, networking and
brand awareness
- Maintain
and update the Strive website, ensuring accuracy, consistency and
accessibility (captions, alt-text, inclusive design)
- Track
and report on social media and digital metrics to continually improve
performance and impact
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Qualification
in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline (or
equivalent experience)
- Proven
experience in social media management, content creation and event
coordination
- Strong
skills in Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn administration and design tools
such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience
managing website content via a CMS
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills with a strong storytelling ability
Desirable
- Experience
in the NDIS, disability or community services sector
- Understanding
of trauma‑informed care principles
