NDIS Lifestyle Support Workers – Outback Central West Queensland

Stream Services Registered NDIS Provider is seeking applications for NDIS Lifestyle Support Workers in Longreach. We are looking for highly experienced disability support workers, ideally a long-term western QLD local. We are seeking applications which provide demonstration of high levels of experience in personal care and challenging behaviours.

The service is provided on a 7 on / 7 off rostering arrangement, meaning the Lifestyle Support Worker will live and work with a Participant for 7 days, then have 7 days off on a rotation basis with another Lifestyle Support Worker. Uninterrupted supports will be during the day and evening, including primarily inactive sleepovers, leading to stability, consistency and continuity of supports.

Please note, this is not a FIFO arrangement, it is expected to be staffed by local residents therefore if applicants do not currently live in the area please provide details of connection to the region or similar and ability to relocate.

Stream Services are looking for people who have:

• Many years (professionally and/or personally) direct experience working with people living with personal care needs and challenging behaviours
• Proven track record of working as a team player and working proactively and independently
• Preferably already have completed Cert III, Cert IV or Diploma qualifications
• Friendly disposition, sense of humour, patience and empathy
• Developed sound communication skills
• Passionate about every person’s freedom to live a life of empowerment and value
• Solutions and outcomes focused, confidence in what you can do but will ask if unsure
• Life long connection to the bush and country life
• Current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
• Current, valid C class license and confident to pass criminal history clearance checks

The total remuneration is $163,283 per annum / $37.7k to $44k for three-month contract + end of three month $5k retention payment, plus superannuation entitlements. If a suitable match is made between you and the supported Participant an ongoing permanent appointment for 1:1 or group support is possible.
