Farm Overseer – Goondiwindi

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Farm Overseer to manage and oversee all aspects of our farm operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture and possess excellent leadership and organisational skills. The Farm Overseer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the farm, including crop production, livestock management, and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of farm operations, including crop production, livestock management, and equipment maintenance
• Develop and implement farm plans and strategies to ensure maximum productivity and profitability
• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of all livestock, including feeding, breeding, and disease control
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards
• Manage and supervise farm workers, including onboarding, training, and managing performance
• Maintain accurate records of all farm activities, including crop yields, livestock production, and equipment maintenance
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders in the agricultural industry
• Monitor and manage farm budgets and expenses to ensure profitability

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in agriculture or related field
• Experience in farm management or related field
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of crop production, livestock management, and equipment maintenance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
