About You:
- Trade qualification (Certificate III/IV and/or Diploma) in Kitchen Management, Culinary Arts or Commercial Cookery
- 1-3 years relevant work experience.
- Flexible availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to crafting exceptional dishes with fresh ingredients
- Commitment to equality and sustainability practices
- Positive contribution to workplace culture and safety
- Alignment with our values of respect, inclusivity, and sustainability
- Experience with wood-fired pizza ovens is advantageous but not essential
- Bonus points for a love of great beer!
Role Description
- Maintaining Occupational, Health and Safety (OH&S) practices in the kitchen
- Responsible for ordering and stock control
- Ensure the hygiene and food safety standards are met in all stages of food preparation, starting with the ingredients and ending with the finished dish
- Preparing and cooking all menu items
- Adhering to our Food Preparation, Handling and Storage Policy.
- Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of foods are of the highest quality at all times.
- Mitigating food wastage, maximising yield from food products
- Creating recipes and demonstrating techniques to cook staff in the kitchen
- Assist in the training of junior and apprentice chefs
- Attending and participating in staff meetings
Salary Range
$70,000 – $80,000 plus super depending on experience
