Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity to join our great team at Unichem Ilam Healthworks Pharmacy, Burnside, Christchurch.
As a Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy. This is a full-time position (could be 4 -4.5 days a week for the right candidate). This role is offering flexibility and a chance to be part of an innovative and growing healthcare organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical and Final check of Dispensed prescription medications in a timely and accurate manner
- Providing professional pharmaceutical advice and counselling to patients on correct medication use and dosage
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participating in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures
- Continuously expanding your knowledge through ongoing paid professional development
- Stay up-to-date with new medications and developments in the pharmaceutical industry
- Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and other staff members
- Undertaking inventory management and stock control responsibilities
What we’re looking for:
- NZ Registered Pharmacist with a current APC
- Qualifications/Accreditation in the following – Vaccinations, TMP, OC, OS, ECP, INR, Clozapine, Sildenafil, and Standing order qualifications an advantage but not essential, as we will support you to gain these qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare providers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure accurate dispensing and safe medication management
- Dedication to providing high-quality patient-centered care
- Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest pharmaceutical best practices and regulations
- Experience in a community pharmacy setting would be an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment and/or sole charge
