We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable / Credit Control Officer to join our team. This full-time role is responsible for maintaining accurate customer accounts, managing receivables, allocating payments, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. The successful candidate will have strong communication and organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer accounts and accounts receivable records.
  • Allocate incoming payments and ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Follow up outstanding payments and resolve account discrepancies prior to order release.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly statements for Head Office accounts and other customers as required.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accurately accounted for and posted.
  • Liaise with customers and internal departments to resolve billing, payment, and credit-related issues.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with month-end processes and other accounting duties as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with PRONTO and CreditorWatch will be highly regarded.
