The Opportunity

Stanley College is seeking an experienced and strategic Academic Program Manager – ICT to lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of its Higher Education ICT programs. Reporting to the Dean of Higher Education, this leadership role is responsible for ensuring academic excellence, regulatory compliance, and industry relevance across ICT programs. The position combines academic leadership, people management, curriculum oversight, and strong industry engagement to deliver future-focused programs that produce highly employable graduates aligned with emerging technologies and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic academic leadership for ICT programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals, industry needs, and regulatory frameworks (including HESF 2021 and ACS accreditation).
  • Lead, mentor, and manage academic staff, including recruitment, induction, performance management, and professional development.
  • Oversee curriculum design, review, and delivery to ensure academic quality, innovation, and relevance to industry trends.
  • Ensure compliance with academic policies, quality assurance processes, and accreditation requirements.
  • Monitor student progression, academic outcomes, and teaching effectiveness, addressing issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and represent ICT programs on College committees and planning forums.
  • Foster strong industry engagement to enhance curriculum relevance, graduate employability, and program reputation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, scholarly activity, and a culture of excellence across the academic team.

About You

  • PhD (or near completion) in ICT or a closely related discipline, with extensive experience in higher education teaching and academic leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience managing academic staff, curriculum development, and program delivery within a higher education environment.
  • Strong understanding of ICT industry trends, emerging technologies, and professional accreditation requirements (e.g. ACS).
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including HESF 2021, ESOS Act, and the National Code.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse groups.
  • Commitment to academic quality, inclusive education, workplace safety, and continuous improvement.
