Description

Associate/Senior Associate – Personal Injury Law (5+yrs PAE)

We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Brisbane office. You will be well supported by an experienced senior paralegal and law clerk, as well as receiving guidance and mentorship from an Executive Practice Leader. You will manage a healthy and varied file load across motor vehicle, WorkCover and public liability matters.

This role will suit a client‑centric practitioner who is confident managing matters autonomously, progressing files efficiently and achieving strong outcomes for clients. If you enjoy working closely with clients and want to be part of a supportive, no‑nonsense team, this could be a great fit.

At our core, we focus on doing what matters to make lives better, and this role sits right at the heart of that purpose.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking full responsibility for managing your own caseload across motor vehicle, WorkCover and public liability matters
  • Working directly with clients on a regular basis, clearly explaining the process, addressing issues as they arise and being their primary point of contact
  • Proactively liaising with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring clients are kept informed and supported throughout their matter
  • Playing an active role in supporting and guiding junior team members and contributing to the team’s day‑to‑day success
  • Getting involved in business development by building relationships, identifying opportunities and contributing to the growth of the practice

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years’ PAE experience practising in Queensland personal injury law
  • A strong client focus, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven file management skills, with sound commercial judgement and attention to detail
  • Clear, confident communication skills, particularly when dealing with clients in sensitive or high‑stress situations
  • A practical, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to progress matters efficiently
  • A collaborative, team‑focused approach, no ego, just a willingness to contribute and support others

Why join us:

  • A family‑run firm with a supportive leadership team that is approachable, hands‑on and genuinely invested in your success
  • Access to quality work with realistic expectations and the autonomy to run matters properly
  • Genuine opportunities for professional growth and career progression
  • A collaborative, down‑to‑earth team environment where people support each other and pull in the same direction

If you’re looking for a role where you can do meaningful work, have real autonomy, and feel supported by the people around you, we’d love to hear from you.
