What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operates efficiently
- Work as part of a proactive, hands-on team to support daily farm and factory operations
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on our production machinery and our automated glasshouse
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults
- Minimise downtime by responding promptly to breakdowns
- Fabricate and weld components when needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Collaborate with production teams to improve process efficiency
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in maintenance, mechanical repairs, or fitting
- Experience with fault finding on automated or semi-automated machinery
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to think on your feet
- A sound knowledge of PLC’s, pneumatic and electrical systems (A Plus!)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, driven, adaptable, and ready to tackle new challenges
- Someone who would be willing to be on call/work occasional weekends
