Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sports Turf professional to oversee the presentation of sporting fields and landscaped grounds at a prestigious private school in Burwood. This role requires strong experience in sports turf management, irrigation, turf renovation and high-standard grounds maintenance across athletic disciplines.
So, what duties can you expect to do?
- Lead sports turf and grounds maintenance across multiple high-use fields and landscaped areas
- Maintain elite presentation standards across ovals, playing surfaces and surrounding landscapes
- Deliver specialised turf programs including aeration, top dressing, renovations and recovery works
- Oversee all turf treatments including fertilising, weed control and chemical applications
- Monitor turf health, soil conditions and performance, implementing proactive improvements
- Manage and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring efficient and effective water use
- Coordinate field usage schedules with stakeholders to optimise surface condition and availability
- Operate and oversee use of specialised turf machinery including cylinder and zero-turn mowers
- Ensure high standards across both sports turf and horticultural landscape areas
- Plan and manage daily works across multiple disciplines and site priorities
- Identify risks, defects and improvement opportunities across all turf and grounds areas
- Maintain compliance with WHS, environmental and site-specific requirements

- Cert III in Sports Turf Management
- Driver’s Licence
- National Police Check
- Working With Children Check
