Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee the daily grounds maintenance operations at a high-profile site in South Brisbane area. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a small team, maintain landscaped areas to a high standard, and ensure all site works are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and supervise modern equipment including zero-turn mowers, brush cutters and blowers
- Carry out hands-on maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, planting and mulching
- Plan daily schedules and workflows to ensure safe, efficient task delivery
- Complete site documentation including pre-starts, reports, Take 5s and SWMS
- Monitor turf, plant and soil health, applying treatments as required
- Maintain and adjust irrigation systems, including basic fault finding
- Conduct regular inspections to uphold presentation, safety and quality standards
- Identify site improvements and proactively implement solutions
- Ensure WHS compliance and promote a strong safety culture
- Train, mentor and support team members and apprentices
