Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader with a strong background in grounds maintenance and horticulture to manage a small team across multiple sites in Western Sydney. This mobile run role involves travelling between locations daily, overseeing site operations, and ensuring all grounds maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate modern grounds maintenance equipment including zero-turn mowers and powered tools across multiple sites.
  • Lead a small team to complete daily landscape and grounds maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Engage with site stakeholders and represent Solutions+ professionally on each site.
  • Handle administrative tasks including pre-starts, reporting, Take 5s, and SWMS.
  • Perform mowing, pruning, planting, mulching, and general horticultural maintenance.
  • Operate ride-on mowers and specialised landscaping machinery.
  • Use hand tools and powered equipment required for grounds maintenance tasks.
  • Manage irrigation systems including watering schedules and minor repairs.
  • Identify site issues and suggest improvements across locations.
  • Assist with seasonal planting programs and landscape enhancements.
  • Check soil condition and apply fertilisers or treatments when required.
  • Maintain safe work practices and ensure WHS compliance at all times.

What are we looking for

  • Ability and willingness to travel between multiple sites
  • Sites include Hoxton Park, Schofields, and Lower Blue Mountains
  • Comfortable working on a structured mobile maintenance run
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage time across locations

What will you need

  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks and Gardens (Preferred)
  • Driver’s Licence (Manual or Automatic – required for mobile run role)
  • National Police Check (valid or willingness to obtain)
  • Working with Children Check (valid or willingness to obtain)
  • Proven experience leading or managing a grounds maintenance team
