WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN YOUR

About the Role

The Construction Administrator is a crucial position within our company, bridging Estimating, civil and landscape construction divisions. This role is responsible for leading procurement processes, managing the transition from estimating to construction phases, and ensuring that all projects meet our commercial requirements. With a strong focus on contractual management, compliance, and optimisation, the Contracts Administrator plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s financial health and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Oversee the preparation, review, negotiation, and execution of contracts across civil and landscape construction projects. Ensure contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Procurement Leadership: Lead procurement strategies and processes, including tendering, supplier selection, and contract negotiation, to achieve competitive value for money pricing and great delivery and service.
  • Project Transition Management: Facilitate seamless transitions from estimating through to project start up, ensuring continuity and alignment with prostrate and contractual obligations.
  • Commercial Compliance: Monitor project progress and expenditure against contractual milestones and budgets. Identify and address any deviations to protect commercial interests.
  • Programme Management: Ensure that all PM programmes are up to date ( by working with them) and all commercial compliance is managed that are driven from the programme – such as RFI’s, Delays, lead times and subcontractor management
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks across projects. Implement strategies to minimise potential impacts on the business.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and external stakeholders such a s suppliers and subcontractors to ensure contract compliance, effective communication, and resolution of contractual issues.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports on contract status, compliance, and risk to senior management, enabling informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, contract management, or a related field
  • At least 3+ years of experience in contract administration
  • Strong knowledge of Australian contract law and regulations
  • Must have recent experience with either Tier 1 subcontractor or Tier 1/2 principal contractor within Construction or Civil
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management software
  • MUST HAVE Full Australian working rights
