Overview of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager / Delivery Principal to lead the delivery of complex technology engagements for our clients. This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and aligned to client objectives.
You will work closely with client stakeholders, engineering teams, and internal leaders to translate business goals into executable plans, manage delivery risk, and drive alignment across multiple workstreams. Success in this role requires strong delivery discipline, commercial awareness, and the ability to operate confidently in dynamic, client-facing environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology engagements, ensuring alignment to client outcomes and contractual commitments
- Define scope, deliverables, and plans, maintaining clear accountability across client and internal stakeholders
- Develop and manage integrated delivery plans, including dependencies, risks, and critical paths
- Drive agile delivery practices while maintaining oversight of overall timelines and milestones
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and changes, ensuring timely mitigation and escalation
- Own financial performance across engagements, including budget tracking, forecasting, and resource utilisation
- Facilitate client governance forums, including steering committees and working groups, to support effective decision-making
- Ensure consistent delivery discipline across reporting, quality, and stakeholder communication
- Coordinate complex technical and business dependencies, including integrations across systems
- Engage with engineering teams and client stakeholders to align technical delivery with business objectives
Skills and Experience
Required:
- 8–12+ years’ experience in project management, with a strong track record delivering large-scale, complex technology or digital initiatives
- Proven experience delivering software projects across the full SDLC, from inception through to production
- Demonstrated experience managing large, multi-stream programs
- Strong understanding of delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches
- Experience operating in client-facing or consulting environments, managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and present to senior executives and C-suite stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, and resource planning
- Ability to work closely with engineering teams and engage in technical discussions (architecture, integrations, delivery constraints)
- Proactive and structured approach to risk, issue, and dependency management
Preferred:
- Experience within IT consulting or professional services organisations
- Experience in Financial services sector
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices (e.g. DevOps, CI/CD)
