About Us:
Compound Surf & Drink Coffee is a specialty coffee bar and lifestyle retail space in Coolum Beach. We serve high-quality specialty coffee in a fun, community-focused, surf-inspired environment.
The Role:
We’re looking for a capable, experienced barista who can handle high-volume service while maintaining specialty standards. You’ll be dialing in espresso, preparing batch brew, and helping create a welcoming space for our local community.
Hours:
20–25 hours per week to start, with potential to grow.
Must be available at least one weekend day.
What You’ll Do:
Dial in and serve a range of specialty coffees, including espresso and batch brew.
Greet and serve customers.
Work efficiently during high-volume periods without compromising quality.
Deliver friendly, genuine customer service.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace.
Support the team and help build a strong community vibe.
About You:
Calm under pressure, proactive, and reliable.
Passionate about coffee and connecting with the community.
Available for at least one weekend day each week.
Preferred but not a must
– Minimum 1 year specialty coffee experience (high-volume preferred).
– Confident on espresso machines and grinders, and comfortable adjusting recipes.
– Skilled in preparing batch brew and other filter methods.
