Description

SLF Lawyers are excited to be recruiting for our Commercial Litigation & Insolvency practice.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Commercial Litigation/Insolvency Lawyer or Associate (~1-4 PAE) to join our Queensland Commercial Litigation and Insolvency team.

Your new role

  • Manage a diverse file load under the supervision and with the support of Senior Lawyers and Partners
  • Act for and provide advice to liquidators, trustees, administrators, receivers, and company directors in insolvency and bankruptcy matters
  • Act for clients in all forms of commercial disputes, and work with Senior Lawyers and Partners in large, complex dispute matters run across multiple jurisdictions
  • Draft pleadings, advices, submissions, correspondence and instructions to Counsel and experts
  • Prepare for and appear at directions hearings, interlocutory applications, settlement conferences, and final hearings (instructing Counsel where appropriate)
  • Undertake legal research to inform legal strategy and advice to clients
  • Regularly attend seminars and events contributing to your professional development and marketing the firm

 

Your skills and experience

  • ~1-4 PAE
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in commercial litigation, insolvency and/or dispute resolution matters
  • A proactive, pragmatic and client-focused approach to problem-solving and dispute resolution
  • Demonstrates ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues
  • Committed to continuous learning and professional development
  • Proficiency in MS365 adaptable to new systems and technology
  • Previous experience with a practice management system (particularly Actionstep) highly advantageous
