    About us

Following the Slattery-Grays merger, we are now Australia’s most powerful auction business – the largest buyer and seller network in the country, spanning automotive, heavy machinery, trucking, commercial/industrial equipment, and general assets.

For our clients, whether they’re liquidating a fleet, winding down a construction operation, upgrading equipment, or unlocking capital to reinvest in their business – we handle the complexity so they don’t have to. We connect their assets to the deepest pool of qualified buyers in Australia, maximising returns and getting money working for them sooner.

We’re proudly family-owned with fifteen sites nationally. Fast decisions, direct access to the owners, and a simple promise: we do what we say we will. Our mantra is Leave it with Us.

The opportunity

A road-based role built for someone who thrives on autonomy. Daily you’ll be out in front of clients across heavy machinery, trucking, and industrial equipment, building relationships and unlocking new business. Office once a week, the rest of your time is yours to manage.

Unlike most BDM roles, you won’t hand clients off once you close them. You close the deal and then you build on it. Both matter here.

What you’ll own

  •     Your pipeline end-to-end: cold outreach, warm leads, and dormant accounts, through to negotiation and close, with commission that rewards every win
  •    Ongoing ownership of the accounts you land, nurturing relationships and growing revenue within your book
  • Growing the seller base and negotiating private sales on referred unsold assets. Every channel counts
  • Your own account plans and revenue forecasts, you set the strategy, you track the performance, and you own the outcome

Who you are

  • You understand that trust is built by showing up, following through, and actually caring about the outcome.
  • You run structured sales conversations, know where you are in a cycle, and know how to move things forward without pushing
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, with a background in automotive, heavy machinery, trucking, or industrial equipment
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets using structured sales frameworks and longer cycle thinking, and the ability to show it
  • An existing industry network and the confidence to leverage it from day one
  • You embrace a CRM as a tool for pipeline visibility and smarter client management, not just a reporting obligation
  • Current driver’s licence and genuine willingness to travel
