Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Female Support Specialist to join our team in providing support to clients in an all-female home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dementia in adults and mental health issues, as well as the ability to provide high-quality care and support to those in need.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalized support and care to clients in a residential setting.
2. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
3. Follow individualized care plans based on client needs and goals.
4. Monitor client progress and communicate any changes or concerns to the care team.
5. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and incident reports.
Skills:
1. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia or mental health issues.
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
3. Knowledge of dementia care practices and strategies for supporting individuals with their needs.
Qualifications:
1. Current First Aid/CPR certification.
2. Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
3. NDIS workers screening check and orientation Module certificate.
