This role is critical to our ability to perform on classified U.S. Government contracts. You will own compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), serve as the primary interface with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), and ensure personnel, facility, and information security requirements are met without exception.

This is a senior, hands-on security role suited to an experienced professional who can operate independently, apply sound judgement, and maintain a strong security posture while supporting business growth across U.S. and Australian operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Security Compliance & Program Management

  • Establish and manage Silentium Defense’s U.S. industrial security program in accordance with NISPOM and DCSA requirements.

  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records using systems such as DISS, NISS, eQIP, and related security management platforms.
  • Lead implementation and ongoing management of FOCI mitigation measures, including governance documentation, training, reporting, and board-level coordination.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies, SOPs, Technology Control Plans (TCPs), and Insider Threat Program requirements.
  • Conduct annual self-inspections, internal audits, and mandatory reporting to ensure continuous compliance and inspection readiness.
  • Oversee classified material control, storage, transmission, and destruction in line with DoD requirements.
  • Deliver security training and awareness activities for U.S. and Australian staff, maintaining clear security boundaries across regions.

Business & Program Support

  • Provide security guidance to support classified proposals, contracts, and program execution.
  • Partner with program managers, business development, and leadership to integrate security requirements into planning and delivery.
  • Support secure facility requirements, including alarm systems, access controls, and classified infrastructure setup.
  • Provide security oversight for customer visits, classified discussions, and controlled-access events.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders while safeguarding sensitive information at all times.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial security, preferably as an FSO, CSSO, or equivalent supporting DoD or Federal Government programs.
  • 2+years managing a FOCI mitigated entity
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with DCSA and maintaining NISPOM compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of FOCI mitigation requirements, governance structures, and reporting obligations.
  • Hands-on experience with DISS, NISS, eQIP, and related clearance management systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in compliance-driven environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief senior leaders and government representatives.
  • Proven ability to work independently while coordinating across geographically distributed teams.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting defence, aerospace, intelligence, or national security organisations.
  • Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, CMMC, and related defence compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting Special Security Agreements (SSA), Proxy Boards, or similar FOCI mitigation mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with secure facility planning alarm systems, access controls, and classified infrastructure requirements.
