What You’ll Actually Do (Real Delivery, Not Theory)

  • Deliver road and disaster recovery projects end-to-end Plan, coordinate and drive outcomes that restore critical infrastructure for regional communities.
  • Own safety, quality and progress on site Coordinate contractors, supervise works, manage risks early, and make sure the finished product lasts.
  • Keep multiple jobs moving at once Balance competing priorities across sites and stakeholders without losing control of time, budget, or standards.
  • Use “the SHEPHERD Way” to remove guesswork Apply structured systems for risk, compliance, quality and reporting so delivery is consistent and defensible.
  • Solve real problems in real time When conditions change (they will), you make practical calls, document the why and keep momentum.
  • Build trust with councils and communities You become the calm, reliable point of contact who brings clarity and gets things done.

Roster & Lifestyle

  • 5/2 roster (Monday – Friday)
  • Based in North Queensland
  • Regular travel to regional sites
  • Variety and autonomy

You’ll Be a Strong Fit If You…

  • Have 5+ years’ experience in delivering civil / road / infrastructure projects
  • Can run multiple work fronts and stakeholders without dropping standards
  • Know how to work with councils, contractors and communities (and keep relationships solid)
  • Are confident reading drawings, understanding construction methods, and spotting risk early
  • Understand WHS + quality systems and can keep documentation clean and defensible
  • Prefer being on site and solving problems – not just tracking them

You Hold:

  • White Card
  • Driver’s Licence
  • First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)
  • Working with Children Check
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil or Project Management
