This particular role sits with IPS (Infrastructure Project Solutions), a Sequana Group Company.
At Infrastructure Project Solutions (IPS), in addition to providing services in traditional infrastructure delivery, IPS also provides specialist engineering and complex construction execution services. Currently, IPS has a position for a Senior Project Manager to join their client, a top-tier company, to be embedded within their team for a fixed-term position of 6 months with the view to extend longer term.
The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of complex, high-value, or multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring technical excellence, commercial performance, and strategic client engagement.
This role also supports capability uplift across the team and contributes to continuous improvement of project delivery at IPS.
WHAT YOU DO
- Lead the delivery of high-risk, multi-disciplinary, or strategic projects from initiation through to completion
- Manage client relationships at a senior level, including regular reporting, scope negotiation, and issue resolution
- Oversee project budgets, profitability, and resourcing, ensuring alignment with business and client goals
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities, proactively resolving challenges with minimal oversight
- Provide guidance and support to other Project Managers and technical teams to uplift capability
- Contribute to project controls, delivery frameworks, and business development initiatives
- Represent IPS in bids, client strategy sessions, and industry forums as require
- Undertake other duties, which are assigned from time to time.
WHO YOU ARE
Candidates should possess:
- 10+ years’ experience managing engineering consultancy projects, with a track record of complex delivery.
- Water Sector Project experience is required. Wastewater project experience is preferred but not essential.
- A Construction White Card is required
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams across multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated capability in client leadership, project financials, and mentoring staff.
- Deep understanding of the project lifecycle, governance, and risk management in a consultancy setting.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related discipline, with additional credentials desirable.
