We are currently hiring a position for a down-to-earth & high-achieving Project Cost Controller at Sequana Group, You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, monitoring, and execution of projects within the water, environment and energy sector. Your expertise in project controls and your attention to detail will be essential in maintaining project performance, managing risks, and optimising resource allocation. You will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to provide critical data insights and support for decision-making.

WHAT YOU DO

Planning and Scheduling:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Utilise project management software to create and maintain project schedules, ensuring they align with project objectives and client requirements.

Cost Management:

  • Assist in budget development and monitoring, tracking project expenses, and forecasting costs.
  • Analyse cost performance data and provide insights to optimise resource allocation and control project expenditures.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and track project risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Gather and analyse project performance data, including schedule adherence, cost performance, and quality metrics.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and dashboards for project managers and senior management.

Change Management:

  • Monitor and manage project scope changes, assessing their impact on schedules, costs, and resources.

Document Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project correspondence.

WHO YOU ARE

Candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar relevant qualification in Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in finance or project cost-controlling positions.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Project management, or related roles in the Government Infrastructure sector is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using financial systems and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) and tools.
  • Advanced-level Excel skills are also required.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality project documentation.
