The role:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract, part-time (22.5 hours a week, worked across 3 or 4 days). Based at our Strathpine Head Office, you will work collaboratively with our Clinical Educator, ensuring a well-supported team approach is in place to meet the needs of our clients.
This is a pivotal role, where you will use your nursing expertise to provide oversight of high intensity supports, help shape positive health and wellbeing outcomes for NDIS participants, and empower our frontline teams with the right clinical guidance.
What you’ll do:
- Daily reviews on client incident reports, medication error records and medical/health charts.
- Contribute to care plans based on collaboration with all stakeholders and reviewing documentation.
- Participate in client intake activities, including the review of clinical needs.
- Conduct medication audits.
- Oversee participant health care plans and ensure alignment with medical advice and protocols.
- Provide advice within the scope of the role regarding any enquiries from Service Delivery or Intake Teams.
About you:
You’re a Registered Nurse who’s ready to develop your expertise. You bring strong clinical skills, a values-driven mindset, and a passion for supporting people with complex disabilities.
- Registered Nurse qualification, with current AHPRA registration.
- Professional indemnity with medical negligence insurance.
- Experience in disability, chronic disease management or managing clients with significant complex health needs.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Sound computer skills with the ability to work within different systems such as Microsoft, Client Management Systems and Learning Management Systems.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
- A genuine commitment to empowering people with disability.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).
- Full working rights in Australia.
