Description

Facilitator–Consultant (Perth, WA – Remote with Travel)

Change lives. One conversation at a time.

At Sentis, our mission is to change the lives of individuals and organisations for the better, every day. We specialise in applying psychology to improve workplace safety experiences and outcomes —physical, social, and psychological—primarily within the mining, agriculture and resources sector.

As an organisation, we are continually seeking new challenges and opportunities to deepen our impact. Convincing people to change their attitudes and behaviours towards safety in the workplace is the greatest challenge we face. And that’s part of the reason why we’re always looking for Facilitators/Consultants with the ability to constantly improve their skills and set themselves new goals in the process of achieving better results.

We believe it’s this determination to grow both personally and professionally that sets us apart, and it’s this same quality we look for in our people.

What does a day as a Facilitator–Consultant look like?

No two days are the same, but along the way you’ll:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver world-class, transformational programs
  • Help people understand how the brain works (and sometimes works against us) — unlocking insight, performance, and culture at work and in life
  • Share your passion for neuroscience, wellbeing, safety culture transformation, and leadership development (with a healthy dose of humour
  • Observe, reflect, and share insights with your colleagues
  • Wrap up the day with a debrief… and probably a laugh over dinner

The Role

Based remotely from Perth, WA, we’re looking for an experienced Facilitator–Consultant to deliver high-quality consulting and facilitation across Western Australia and beyond.

This role is focused on:

  • Exceptional consulting delivery and facilitation
  • Building trusted client relationships
  • Contributing commercially to support our WA growth strategy
  • Leading client engagement from delivery through to opportunity identification
  • Coaching capability is viewed as a strong complementary skill

Reporting to the Head of Operations, and supported by our highly experienced Client Solutions Team, you’ll operate with a high level of autonomy while benefiting from strong collaboration, guidance, and shared expertise across Sentis. There’s a potential pathway for this role to grow into a Principal Consultant position, with full training and support along the way.

This opportunity can be structured as either:

  • A full-time permanent role, or
  • An independent contractor model

What you’ll bring

Consulting & Facilitation Capability

  • Proven experience facilitating groups and delivering high-quality consulting in live client environments
  • A strong consulting presence with credibility across frontline and executive stakeholders
  • Sound judgement, adaptability, and confidence operating autonomously in complex, real-world contexts
  • Ability to lead structured, outcome-focused conversations that move clients from insight to action
  • Comfortable working “in the field” with clients — not just in workshop settings

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Highly client‑centred and outcomes-driven
  • A trusted advisor who builds strong relationships while maintaining commercial discipline
  • Confident engaging with senior leaders and key decision-makers
  • Practical, adaptable, and solutions-focused

Commercial & Growth Mindset

  • Commercially astute, with the ability to recognise opportunities during delivery
  • Comfortable discussing value, impact, and next-phase work with clients
  • Able to organically grow scope and support sales activity aligned to our WA growth strategy
  • Experience contributing to scoping or proposal development (desirable, not essential)

Coaching & Development (Desirable)

  • Comfortable coaching leaders and teams as part of broader consulting engagements
  • Able to shift seamlessly between consulting, facilitation, and coaching modes
  • Motivated to grow into deeper Principal Consultant–style work over time
  • Committed to continuous professional development

Qualifications & Professional Background

  • A tertiary qualification in psychology, organisational psychology, coaching, leadership development, adult education/training, safety, or a related discipline
  • Experience in safety, critical risk, incident analysis, safety culture transformation, or organisational change highly regarded
  • A genuine interest in neuroscience, wellbeing, leadership, and safety culture improvement

Working Style & Practical Requirements

  • Self‑driven, adaptable, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote based role
  • Based in Perth, WA, with easy access to an airport
  • A genuine love of travel — this is a high travel role (approximately 10-12 days per month), including regional, national, and occasional international travel, with some weekend work
