Position Summary:

Seers Group is seeking a Systems Analyst to translate complex business needs into secure, performance, and enterprise-grade technical solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to model business processes, define functional designs, and ensure the seamless delivery of data-driven systems spanning cloud, analytics, and integration domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business users and stakeholders to clarify and document system requirements and user stories.

• Analyze system interactions, data flows, and process inefficiencies to inform optimized solution approaches.

• Develop functional and technical specifications, including integration schemas, process flows, and architecture documentation.

• Perform feasibility assessments to highlight technical constraints and inform design iterations.

• Apply modelling techniques (UML, ERD, sequence diagrams) to create clear visual designs.

• Liaise with engineering teams to ensure technical requirements are traceable and properly executed.

• Define test datasets and support QA efforts, including unit, system, and user acceptance testing phases.

• Lead configuration, deployment, and production roll-outs; secure end-user buy-in through training and documentation.

• Maintain governance artifacts, including standards, guidelines, and system documentation.

• Monitor system health, recommend performance enhancements, and explore automation opportunities.

• Act as the critical interface between IT and business teams to ensure architectural alignment and solution governance.

Skills & Experience

Core Technical Expertise

• Advanced experience with relational database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle SQL), including optimization and schema design

• Proficient in ETL workflows and reporting tools (Python, Power Query, Excel, SSRS)

• Skilled in dashboarding and analytics using Power BI and Tableau

• Experienced in automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate and Microsoft stacks

Systems Analysis & Design

• In-depth requirement elicitation, systems planning, and functional specification writing

• Accomplished in business process modelling with ERDs, UML, and sequence diagrams

• Strong capability translating requirements into scalable technical architectures

• Familiar with integration architecture and patterns (REST APIs, JSON, web services)

Development & Delivery

• Proficient in coding and scripting (Python, SQL), familiar with Git version control

• General exposure to languages/paradigms such as C, Perl, DAX, and MIPS/PyTorch

• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery practices, and DevOps workflows

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Familiarity with major cloud platforms (Azure, or GCP, etc.) and associated analytics services

• Strong grasp of “secure-by-design” principles, including identity and access control (RBAC)

Professional Competencies

• Experienced at managing stakeholder expectations and translating technical outcomes to lay audiences

• Analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on data quality, performance optimization, and compliance requirements

• Excellent communication skills across enterprise and government environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in system analysis and solution delivery

• Demonstrated track record in producing system documentation, process models, and technical specifications

Desirable: Experience with government or regulated sector projects
